This 2-part training will increase your awareness about developmental screening and the statewide effort to encourage developmental screening for all young children. We will explore the evidence-based ASQ-3 and discuss the role of early childhood professionals as partners in the promotion and use of the ASQ-3 with families. Session 1 will overview administering, scoring & interpreting results; Session 2 will overview communicate results to parents and next steps.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to define & discuss the benefits of developmental screening
- Participants will be able to understand basic ASQ-3 terminology & describe features of the tool
- Participants will be able to Score the ASQ-3
- Participants will be able to describe ASQ-3 cutoff scores & interpret
ASQ-3 information in relation to other referral considerations
ASQ-3 Screening Material Kit will be offered to those who choose to participate in onsite consulting following the training.
